From the recording Darkness & Light
This one was originally written in 1986, but fitted perfectly into this particular point of the album. It is a song that simply stops and acknowledges that even through the trials, the storms, and whatever we face in our lives, God is ever faithful. He sees, He knows, He is always there, and He is forever. The invitation is there. This is the response. Revelation 3:20.
Lyrics
The power of your majesty
You count the grains of sand
You see when every sparrow falls
The world is in your hands
I’ll follow You in the sunshine
I’ll follow You through winter rains
I’ll follow You in the stormy days
Because your Faithfulness remains
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Whoa your faithfulness remains
How do I come before you
You’re too big to understand
Your creation it astounds me
Yet you care for every man
I’ll follow You in the sunshine
I’ll follow You through winter rains
I’ll follow You in the stormy days
Because your Faithfulness remains
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Whoa your faithfulness remains
In the sunshine (sunshine)
In the sunshine (sunshine)
Though the rain (since the rain)
In the stormy days (stormy days)
In the sunshine (sunshine)
In the sunshine (through the shine)
Though the rain (since the rain)
In the stormy days (stormy days)
You’re forever still the same
I’m overcome with wonder
At all the things you’ve made
Every star that’s in the heavens
Every mountain, every new day
I’ll follow You in the sunshine
I’ll follow You through winter rains
I’ll follow You in the stormy days
Because your Faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Oh Your faithfulness remains
As we approach you in your greatness
We can only praise your name
King of Kings and Lord of Lords
You’re forever still the same
I’ll follow You in the sunshine
I’ll follow You through winter rains
I’ll follow You in the stormy days
Because your Faithfulness remains
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Oh Your faithfulness remains
In the sunshine (in the sunshine)
In the sunshine (through the sunshine)
Though the rain (through the rain)
In the stormy days (stormy days)
In the sunshine (in the sunshine)
In the sunshine (through the sunshine)
Though the rain (through the rain)
In the stormy days (stormy days)
You’re forever still the same
I’ll follow You in the sunshine
I’ll follow You through the rain
I’ll follow You in the stormy days
Because your Faithfulness remains
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Oh your faithfulness remains
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Your faithfulness remains whoa
Oh your faithfulness remains
