From the recording Freshman 61
I have written songs about both our girls. This one was rolling around in my head for a number of years before I actually put pen to paper. I wanted to capture the joy and wonder we felt when having our 2nd newborn girl, and watching her grow in those early years. Absolutely special times!
Lyrics
Been in love with her
Since the day she was born
She can light a room
With the curtains drawn
She’s the purest gold
A precious stone
And she puts me in
This weird kinda zone
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
With eyes so bright
Such innocent love
She’s a gift from God
Sent from the heavens above
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
She melts my heart
She can do no wrong
And she know’s she’s got me
Right where I belong
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
With eyes so bright
Such innocent love
She’s a gift from God
Sent from the heavens above
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
With eyes so bright
Such innocent love
She’s a gift from God
Sent from the heavens above
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
And she’s my my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
My my my my my my my
Sweet little baby girl
Sweet little baby girl
