From the recording Freshman 61
Spending a lot of my years in different working environments, you come across a wide spectrum of personalities - particularly when dealing with those in supervisory or management scenarios.
Sadly, the greed and lust of the "Anglerfish" is definitely one that is all too commonly found on that spectrum, very often creating quite a toxic, unhealthy environment. They trap you, use you, and spit you out at every opportunity to keep you subservient..
Lyrics
She’s a viper dressed in designer jeans
Spend some time with her and you’ll know what I mean
Sweetest of smiles at the turn of her head
But behind your back she will tear you to shreds
So look out
Beware
The trap is set
For you to be snared
Bright light
Anglerfish
Reeling you in
A meal on the dish
Anglerfish
Anglerfish
She’s an Anglerfish
An angel of light but it’s a clever disguise
She twists in the knife in through her scheming and lies
Building you up while she’s tearing you down
White anting and ghosting while she’s watching you drown
So look out
Beware
The trap is set
For you to be snared
Bright light
Anglerfish
Reeling you in
A meal on the dish
Anglerfish
Anglerfish
She’s an Anglerfish
Anglerfish
Anglerfish
She’s an Anglerfish
She’s an Anglerfish
