From the recording Celebrate The Love
We all know the Little Drummer Boy. This song imagines him a little older, but still playing drums for his saviour.
Lyrics
No gold or silver or precious stones
No gifts for you to receive
Just some drums, a voice and an open heart
And somehow I believe
I’ll play my drums for you
I don’t have much
And it’s all I can do
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
I give you myself
Cause my heart is true
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
For you
I don’t have much but what I have
Is all I can do and say
So take this gift I have to give
As I lift my voice and play
I’ll play my drums for you
I don’t have much
And it’s all I can do
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
I give you myself
Cause my heart is true
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
For you
My drums, my voice
I give you all
A baby born
The Saviour’s call
I’ll play my drums for you
I don’t have much
And it’s all I can do
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
I give you myself
Cause my heart is true
I’ll play my drums for you
I’ll play my drums for you
For you
